Versatile midfielder Rio Garside becomes Paul Wotton’s latest new signing at Truro City Football Club joining from Sky Bet League Two side Plymouth Argyle.

The seventeen year old has played a number of times for the Argyle reserve team in the South West Peninsula League last season (having come through the clubs academy) and joins the White Tigers following his release from the Pilgrims.

Manager Paul Wotton told the clubs official website…

“Rio is someone I’ve known since the age of 14 in the Plymouth Argyle system. He fits in with the criteria of character I want at Truro City. He is hardworking, honest, a winner, plus he’s a very good footballer who will give us plenty of versatility. I’m really pleased to get him over the line and get him signed.”

He trialed for the club in last Tuesday’s 1-0 win over his former employees Plymouth at Treyew Road and made a good impression.
